The board’s decision came as the percentage of Boyd Gaming staff who have received at least their first COVID-19 vaccine reached 80%. Indoor mask-wearing remains a requirement. The company issued a statement on Thursday announcing the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s go-ahead for it to fully open the Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Aliante, Sam’s Town, Cannery, California, Fremont, and Jokers Wild casino floors.
Update May 13, 2021: Boyd Gaming has joined the list of Las Vegas operators that can open casinos at 100% occupancy with no social distancing requirement.
